Corso di Pietra selects its breeding dogs first and foremost for a calm, predictable temperament. A well-bred, well-socialized Cane Corso has nothing to prove — not to an intruder, and not to its owner.

The Cane Corso descends from the molossers that guarded farms in Puglia — work that required judgment, not nerves. That's the dog we're trying to reproduce: composed, observant, able to tell a visitor from a threat.
We never keep more than one litter at a time. It's the only way to know every puppy individually, to handle them daily, and to know, when placement time comes, which family will suit them.

Hips, elbows, heart and eyes evaluated on Ferro, Freccia and Luna before any mating. You receive the actual results, never a summary.

The breed standard calls for a temperament that is confident, biddable and attached to its family — not nervous or aggressive. A farm guardian in Puglia for centuries, the Corso had to tell a real threat from an ordinary visitor, and respond with judgment rather than nerves.
It's a powerful dog that needs firm structure and constant socialization — not a first dog, not a dog for an empty house. But a well-raised Corso is not a tool for intimidation: it's a loyal, attentive companion, remarkably gentle with its own people.

You write to us
Tell us about your experience with guardian breeds or molossers, your lifestyle, your yard. We reply within one to two days — sometimes to tell you honestly that a Corso wouldn't suit you.
You meet Ferro, Freccia and Luna
Kennel visits by appointment, even before a litter is born. You see the parents' temperament with your own eyes — the best indicator there is.
Reservation and matching
A $600 deposit confirms your place on the litter. Puppy–family matching happens around week six, based on observed temperament — never on the colour picked from a photo.
Going home at eight weeks
Your puppy leaves vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and examined by our veterinarian, with a health record, a few days' worth of food and a blanket that smells like the litter.
A litter from Luna is expected this fall.
